Legacy International - remaining agile during these challenging times
Since March 2020, the Legacy International team has converted all in-person programming into robust virtual trainings creating over 20 cutting edge, engaging asynchronous and synchronous formats for over 1500 people. Between February and September 2021, professionals from across the MENA region, young women STEM leaders and youth environmental activists from Fiji. Tonga, Tuvalu and the USA will collaborate on-line with US counterparts to create solutions to many of our pressing global issues. In addition, monthly Global Viewpoints Forums, three-week leadership courses for youths from 22 countries, self-paced skill development programs, one-to-one coaching, cultural exchanges, hackathons and a professional development series are being planned. We are committed to making sure all the transformative leaders in our networks know they are not alone. Our staff has shown great strength, flexibility and creativity.
We are working closely with local and global health professionals to determine the safety of offering in-person programs in 2021-2022. It is our hope that it will be possible to responsibly do so.
